Operations Manager
Role
To direct and coordinate the activities of the Loan Officers of Cardinal Credit Union and aid the Branch Manager in ensuring the branch meets organizational financial, operational, service, and growth plans. Answers questions and resolves more complex problems. Ensures that members are promptly and professionally served. Actively participates in Cardinal's Superior Sales & Service Program. Creates and monitors schedules. Performs specific assigned jobs including various clerical and receptionist functions and assists other Loan Officers as needed.
Assists in coaching and mentoring Loan Officers.
- Assumes responsibility that all Loan Officers are performing and are in accordance with established policies and standards; ensures that all security procedures are followed.
- Answers questions, solves problems, and assists with complex transactions and/or sensitive member relations problems; explains policies and procedures to members; makes judgments for Loan Officers (within limits of authority) pertaining to policies that CCU has in place.
- Assists with account opening and/or closing procedures; oversees and monitors employee schedules; assigns and assists in all staff cross‑training in all areas of meeting the members and branch needs; assumes responsibility for ensuring and effectively performing member service functions.
- Performs file maintenance and account changes as needed; actively participates in Cardinal’s Superior Sales & Service Program; meets MR Goals; provides leadership and support; keeps management informed of area activities and any significant problems; provides suggestions for improved service or time‑saving ideas; attends meetings as required.
- Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.
- Provide informed, professional and accurate service and support to all members and associates.
- Maintain a cohesive, highly trained and motivated staff sufficient to meet members’ needs.
- Meet or exceed the annual budgeted operating plan for the branch.
- Maintain/improve the financial stability of the branch.
- Meet the branch growth plan.
- Keep management informed regarding key operating issues affecting the branch.
Experience:
Two to five years of similar or related experience.
Education:
College degree preferred.

Skills:
Requires a significant level of trust and diplomacy, normal courtesy and tact; involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature; may involve motivating or influencing others; external contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities is necessary.
