MINIMUM QUALIFICATION- Education,
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology. Must demonstrate proficiency, in operation of CT equipment, computer skills, communication and interpersonal skills with all customer groups, in a fast paced environment. - Required Length and Type of
Experience:
Two (2) years of clinical experience as a staff technologist, preferred. 1 year of clinical experience as a CT technologist is preferred. - Required Licensure or Certification:
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and CT registered, within one year from date of hire. Licensed by the State of Ohio. CPR certification current. - Required Physical and Environmental Demands:
Must be able to lift or assist with patients of varying weight, and manipulate equipment daily. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, daily. Finger dexterity to manipulate hand-eye coordination for PC operation, daily. Wrist and hand/wrist repetitions to manipulate equipment and/or PC operation, daily. Exposure to radiation is a continuous risk, daily. Must be knowledgeable and demonstrate competency in all OSHA requirements, for the position such as use of personal protective barrier equipment, safety equipment and procedures, handling of hazardous materials, etc.
Must be knowledgeable and demonstrate competency in MSDS for all items utilized in their particular area, and location of their department's MSDS manual and/or location of MSDS hotline phone number. Must be knowledgeable and demonstrate competency in blood borne pathogen exposures and procedures as routine and/or daily duties, tasks, or procedures could regularly expose themselves to blood and other potentially infectious materials.
