Reporting to the Supervisor and Manager, Behavioral Health Services, the Qualified Mental Health Specialist (QMHS) will develop and execute client treatment plans, provide ongoing community support resources including transportation, and foster positive relationships with clients, their families, and team members.
HOW YOU'LL SUCCEED- Develop, prepare, and present treatment program materials to clients
- Coordinate and provide transportation for clients to access resources
- Maintain clear communication and professional boundaries
- Support clients in developing sober support networks
- Collaborate with treatment teams
- Create positive experiences for clients across various needs (educational, medical, vocational, housing, daily living skills)
- Encourage and follow-up on client engagement
- Serve as a liaison with inpatient units
- Maintain electronic client charts per standards
- Assist in crisis intervention and community outreach
- Participate in quality assurance activities
- Comply with policies, HIPAA, and complete required training and documentation
- Participate in staff meetings and development programs
- Maintain attendance and punctuality
- Perform other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Ohio driver's license and proof of insurance
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field (preferred)
- 1-3+ years of relevant experience (preferred)
- CDCA certification (preferred)
- Strong computer skills
- Knowledge of community resources and ASAM levels of care
- Typically performed in an office/clinical environment
- Flexibility to work evenings and extended hours
- Physical activities include sitting, standing, lifting up to 15 pounds, and exposure to blood borne pathogens
