As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Facilitating a customer-centric environment and rapidly addressing customer issues
- Monitoring and assisting in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards
- Recruiting top talent and sourcing candidates through company-prescribed channels
- Opening and closing the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise, and ensuring all procedures are followed to protect assets
- Ensuring asset protection through inventory control, property safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans
- Administering processes and procedures within the store, including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, and enterprise-level reporting
- Evaluating the store's financial statements and driving profitability through communication and goal setting
- Ensuring that operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards
- Monitoring loan qualification and buying processes to ensure the value and integrity of all loans issued
- Completing assigned tasks and training for self-development as requested
- Communicating clearly with employees to ensure they understand the store's mission and profit objectives
- Remaining up-to-date on product knowledge
- Acting as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager
Minimum requirements and qualifications include:
- Minimum of six months of management/3rd key experience
- Ability to perform duties and tasks for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
- Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Computer literate and able to operate Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and common office machines
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Analytical skills
- Cash handling experience required
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent work ethic and strong business sense
