Retail Assistant Store Manager

As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Facilitating a customer-centric environment and rapidly addressing customer issues
• Monitoring and assisting in the training of Pawnbrokers to meet First Cash standards
• Recruiting top talent and sourcing candidates through company-prescribed channels
• Opening and closing the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise, and ensuring all procedures are followed to protect assets
• Ensuring asset protection through inventory control, property safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans
• Administering processes and procedures within the store, including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, and enterprise-level reporting
• Evaluating the store's financial statements and driving profitability through communication and goal setting
• Ensuring that operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards
• Monitoring loan qualification and buying processes to ensure the value and integrity of all loans issued
• Completing assigned tasks and training for self-development as requested
• Communicating clearly with employees to ensure they understand the store's mission and profit objectives
• Remaining up-to-date on product knowledge
• Acting as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager

Minimum requirements and qualifications include:

• Minimum of six months of management/3rd key experience
• Ability to perform duties and tasks for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
• Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others
• Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Computer literate and able to operate Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and common office machines
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Analytical skills
• Cash handling experience required
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent work ethic and strong business sense
