The Role

Plant 2 Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for leading and supervising Warehouse Persons in the safe, efficient, and accurate receipt, storage, and on‑time shipment of finished products while driving improvements in safety and cost control. They leverage the full value of employees through coaching, feedback, and assignments, employing periodic job performance reviews as needed. This is a salaried exempt, day‑shift position.

Responsibilities
  • Coach and encourage employees to perform warehouse work safely, efficiently, and reliably, fostering teamwork and pride in the crew, communicating plant goals, standards and direction, and ensuring accountability.
  • Ensure the workplace is free of harassment, discrimination, and that individuals are treated with respect.
  • Ensure all work is done in accordance with applicable policies, standards, procedures, and protocol, coordinating and supporting Distribution ISO procedures.
  • Coordinate warehouse activities with the Distribution Superintendent, Scheduler, and other personnel, maintaining ongoing communication concerning job status, potential problems, and recommended solutions.
  • Develop, coordinate, and issue daily instructions for personnel to meet all day‑to‑day objectives with respect to safety, environmental control, efficiency, reliability, and productivity.
  • Monitor and verify warehouse inventory; complete cycle counts.
  • Prepare, sort, prioritize, and issue customer orders and intercompany transfers (cross‑dock) to warehouse staff.
  • Oversee the timely receipt and put‑away of new production as well as the receipt of raw materials for the plant.
  • Conduct scheduled Safety Meetings and daily Toolbox Talks, ensuring ongoing compliance with safety rules, safe work practices, housekeeping, and performing safety audits.
  • Ensure scheduled shipments are shipped on time in collaboration with Distribution Specialists, IBP, and CSRs.
  • Complete weekly and monthly reporting requirements to support distribution.
  • Monitor and track costs associated with the ASH 2 warehouse and the goods receipt of invoices.
  • Active involvement in any other warehouse‑related activities or duties.
  • Operational Safety: possess knowledge of methods, accepted practices, considerations, and regulatory requirements associated with safety and protection of workers, environment, and site.
  • Organizational Awareness: understand the organization’s vision and goals, major functional processes, operating principles and requirements, values, and code of ethics; apply this understanding appropriately to diverse situations.
You Should Possess
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess a minimum of five (5) years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Supervisory and coordination skills.
  • Knowledge of various mechanical equipment and machinery.
  • Proficiency with various computer programs, specifically Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.

This is a salaried exempt day‑shift position.

Location

Ashtabula, Ohio Complex, consisting of two plants just south of Lake Erie.
