Job SummaryThe Retail Assistant Store Manager role requires meeting and exceeding expectations with overall store responsibility for store effectiveness and customer satisfaction. You must have excellent customer service skills, train and manage talent, and lead and develop others. This position requires strong performance‑management and coaching skills, and is responsible for managing full‑time and part‑time Mobile Advisors.
Wage: $21.50-$22.50 per hour plus uncapped commission.
Schedule:
Modified full‑time (30‑39 hours per week, average 35).
- Manage all aspects of in‑store execution: staffing, shift scheduling, customer engagement, sales, merchandising, and inventory.
- Establish and maintain critical relationships with senior store and field leadership.
- Ensure strong relationships with the in‑store team and field leadership to promote communication continuity and directive adoption.
- Promote progressive employee engagement to ensure employee satisfaction.
- Manage performance to achieve all sales and customer service objectives.
- Collaborate with senior store and field sales leadership to achieve company objectives.
- Participate in regular senior store leadership meetings.
- Provide regular reports to senior store leadership.
- Openly complete all required sales training and ensure all store employees are fully trained.
- Provide feedback on store performance, develop action plans, and ensure execution.
- Coach and train sales representatives directly.
- High School Diploma required.
- 3-5 years of training, sales, account management, or related experience.
- 2+ years of retail management experience in the wireless industry.
- Specialty retail or big‑box management experience required.
- Proven leadership record as a department or store manager.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- High business acumen.
- Ability to train and develop subordinates.
- Flexibility to work weekends and travel when required.
- Self‑starter proficiency.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Job Requirements
- Physical ability to perform tasks that require bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, walking, standing, and moving items.
- Ability to move around the store, assist customers, and maneuver merchandise.
