This is a remote engineering role for someone with deep Git Lab CI/CD experience who can build scalable delivery frameworks, automate application deployments, integrate security and testing into pipelines, and troubleshoot complex build and deployment issues.
The right person will be equally comfortable architecting reusable CI/CD patterns and getting hands-on with Git Lab runners, pipeline configuration, AWS services, Infrastructure as Code, and deployment automation.
Success in this role means creating reliable, secure, reusable delivery pipelines that allow development teams to build, test, and deploy applications quickly and consistently across cloud environments.
What You Will Do- Design, configure, maintain, and optimize Git Lab CI/CD pipelines supporting application build, testing, security validation, and deployment.
- Architect reusable pipeline frameworks, templates, modules, and automation that can be adopted across multiple development teams and projects.
- Configure and manage Git Lab runners and related pipeline infrastructure.
- Integrate Git Lab CI/CD workflows with AWS services and cloud infrastructure.
- Automate application deployments across AWS environments using services such as EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, IAM, and related technologies.
- Implement automated testing, quality gates, security scanning, vulnerability checks, and artifact management within CI/CD workflows.
- Integrate Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Terraform and AWS Cloud Formation into application deployment processes.
- Partner with software engineers, cloud engineers, security teams, and other technical stakeholders to establish standardized development and deployment practices.
- Troubleshoot pipeline failures, runner issues, deployment problems, performance bottlenecks, permission issues, and other complex CI/CD challenges.
- Develop secure deployment patterns using AWS IAM, networking, access controls, and cloud security best practices.
- Support containerized application deployment using Docker, Kubernetes, and/or Amazon EKS.
