We are seeking a Med/Peds Hospitalist to join our collaborative team in a full-time position providing high-quality, mission-driven inpatient care.

Position at a Glance

Schedule:

8 shifts/month (24-hour shifts)

Shift

Hours:

6 AM - 6 AM, typically worked in 3-4 shift blocks

Team Model:
Work alongside a dedicated team including physicians and an APP (requires supervision)

Night Support:
Considering telehealth support; in-person coverage provided for longer shift blocks

Requirement: BC Med/Peds or FM with Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

Scope of Practice

Level 1 Nursery:
Well-baby care

Inpatient Pediatrics & Pediatric ICU

Adult Med/Surg Inpatient Care

ICU Rounding (Closed ICU model - comparable to step-down units in larger hospitals)

No high-risk deliveries; attendance required for unplanned C-sections

Volume Expectations

Daily Census: 8-10 patients (expected to grow to 14-15, max 20)

Admissions per Day: 0-3

Urgent Consults per Day: 0-5
