Building Engineer – Multifamily – Class A+

Between Aspen and Glenwood Springs, near Basalt and Carbondale. - Salary: up to $75,000 + 10% performance bonus.
- Schedule:
Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm | On‑call 24/7.

About the RoleUnder the direct supervision of the General Manager, the Engineer will deliver and maintain all facilities of a residential high‑rise building, ensuring compliance with City, County, State, OSHA, and governmental agency mandates.
What You’ll Do- Engineering management of a residential facility, including common areas, amenity space, and parking garage.
- Provide quarterly cost analysis and projections for utilities, chilled water, electrical, gas, and all maintenance items.
- Conduct efficiency analysis and energy‑savings audits quarterly.
- Create, execute, and maintain an automated preventive maintenance program covering all building components.
- Implement and uphold all required maintenance SOPs as directed by the GM and VP of Risk Management.
- Maintain any building green‑energy qualifications.
- Coordinate and keep current all building component inspections.
- Supervise the full maintenance team and other departments as assigned by the GM; develop training to ensure excellence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with outside vendors.
- Coordinate contracted services and repairs alongside the GM.
- Maintain complete and accurate records of all maintenance requests submitted, commented on, and completed.
- Be available for on‑call after hours, weekends, holidays, and emergencies as needed.
- Ensure all safety precautions and procedures are followed during duties.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 4 years of engineering experience, preferably in high‑rise facilities.
- Specific knowledge of high‑rise electrical, plumbing, stair pressurization, elevators, and mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of safety systems, elevator systems, fire pump and safety systems, and trash room/compactor.
- Some experience with Building Link and Vantaca building‑management software.
- Understanding that condo construction is ongoing and will affect building system operations.
