Event Manager / Planner, Customer Service Rep
Description
Assist with fundraising and cultivation events over the course of the 8-week Festival season.
Responsibilities- Assist in the planning and execution of approximately fifteen fundraising events, including two benefits
- Field calls from donors and other constituents, including RSVPs for events, asking for meal and seating preferences, and coordinating delivery of auction items
- Assist with data entry in Raisers’ Edge
- Help execute event design concepts
- Assist with promotion and marketing of events
- Coordinate with other AMFS departments as needed
- Other duties as assigned
The development events assistant will manage guest lists and track payments; communicate with operations and technical crew regarding set-up and A/V needs; assist in communicating with vendors; help manage beverage supply; assist with set-up, execution, and clean‑up for all fundraising and cultivation events; create and send event invitations and reminders; update event attendance and donor communication in Raiser’s Edge; communicate with hosts when appropriate;
and coordinate auction logistics.
Hired candidate is required to attend virtual pre‑season training in May (scheduled based on availability).
Please Note:This position operates in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment. Evening and weekend work, as well as extended hours and overtime, will be required to support events and related activities.
Requirements- 21+ in order to pour alcohol, and be willing to take a TIPS certification course
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalency.
- Be proactive and anticipate needs especially during high volume periods
- Work well both independently and within a team
- Be able to manage high‑stress situations
- Willing and able to work up to 60 hours/week, including evenings and weekends to support development events, especially during gala weeks
- Experience planning and executing events and working with vendors
- Detail oriented and organized
- Familiarity with the following software:
Excel, Adobe Suite, and Canva - Experience working in CRM or donor databases, Raisers' Edge is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 25+ lbs. (cases of wine)
- Have a personal vehicle for the duration of the summer (mandatory).

Virtual pre‑season training in May (scheduled based on availability)
Compensation$13.50/hour plus housing provided by AMFS (valued at a minimum of $5.16/hour depending on location.) Overtime $22.74/hour
The overall non‑local compensation for this position, including hourly pay ($13.50/hour) and housing ($5.16/hour), exceeds the 2026 Colorado minimum wage of $15.16.
Virtual pre‑season training pay rate is 15.16/hour.
Benefits include AMFS season pass and paid sick time.
