Description
The Meadows Campus production team is responsible for the production implementation of all concerts, rehearsals, and events occurring on the Aspen Music Festival & School’s (AMFS) Meadows Campus. These facilities include the 2,050-seat Klein Music Tent and the 500-seat Harris Concert Hall. AMFS produces an 8-week festival presenting world‑class artists in classical music, opera, theatre, and more with multiple events happening every day.
Stage Crew work under the supervision of the Production Manager and Assistant Production Managers and collaborate with a team of stage managers, electricians, and audio engineers. There are multiple positions available in this role.
- Implement stage sets and changeovers, hang and cable lighting instruments, load trucks, assist opera run crew, and maintain the venue’s concert equipment (chairs/stands/risers, etc…)
- Provide stage management for small concerts or master classes.
- Prep venues for the first performances and winterize them at the end of the summer.
- Assist the facilities team with minor maintenance requests.
- Work collaboratively with world‑renowned artists, faculty, students, orchestra managers, librarians, house managers, audio engineers, and fellow production staff to ensure excellence for performers and audience members.
- Prior production experience in the performing arts, stage work, electrics, rigging, audio, properties or carpentry
- Prior classical music concert production experience is preferred but not required.
- The ideal candidate will be strong, proactive, intuitive, respectful, and energetic.
- A team‑orientation, possessing the ability to complete a rigorous work list with excellent endurance and a positive attitude under pressure.
- Candidates must prioritize well, complete multiple tasks efficiently, and be comfortable with a variably paced schedule.
- An understanding of the basics of working safely at great heights.
- Candidates must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and materials or, of greater weight in tandem with additional crew member assistance.

Compensation$15.16/hour plus housing provided by AMFS (valued at a minimum of $5.16/hour depending on location.) Overtime $22.74/hour
Benefits include AMFS season pass and paid sick time.
