** Exciting Opportunity for an Inpatient Acute Care Physical Therapist!** ** Job Description**
- ** Position**:
Physical Therapist - Acute Care
- ** Schedule**:
Wednesday to Sunday, 8 AM to 6 PM
- ** Hours**: 40 hours per week, 10-hour shifts
- ** Focus**:
Evaluation, planning, directing, and administering physical therapy treatment
** Key Responsibilities**:
- Administer treatments and physical agents to restore function - Prevent disability following injury, disease, or physical limitation - Assist patients in achieving their maximum performance and functional level - Support patients in adapting to their capabilities
** Minimum Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy - Unrestricted license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Colorado (or ability to obtain) - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (may be obtained upon hire)
** Preferred Qualifications**:
- Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy - 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist - Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
** Housing Information**:
- Travelers must secure their own housing - Housing is costly, especially in winter (e.g., $3,500/month for a 1 in Basalt) - Consider surrounding towns:
Basalt, Carbondale, & Glenwood Springs
** Additional Notes**:
- No requested time off will be accepted - Must be healthy enough to function in a low oxygen environment (8,000 feet elevation)
