Job Description

Position Summary

The Front Desk Agent welcomes and registers guests, presents statements, and collects payments for departing guests. They communicate with housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services to fulfill guest requests. This role requires attentiveness, proactivity, and a focus on enhancing the overall guest experience. The Front Desk Agent reports to the Front Office Manager.

Essential Job Functions /

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Welcome guests upon arrival and assign rooms
  • Provide a summary of the hotel and its amenities
  • Coordinate daily with other departments to meet guest needs
  • Recommend restaurants and activities based on guest interests and skill level
  • Maintain cash bank and perform daily cash settlements
  • Accept reservations, changes, and cancellations
  • Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are clean, tidy and furnished
  • Comply with all hotel and Aspen One policies
  • Assist in emergency and security procedures as directed by management
  • Complete tasks and projects and assist other departments as needed
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Education & Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or high school equivalent preferred
  • One year of customer or guest experience preferred
  • Previous front desk experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Basic knowledge of local mountain, town activities and events
  • Basic industry terminology
  • Knowledge of 5-star standards
  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to address guest inquiries and resolve concerns promptly
  • Active listening and interpersonal skills to personalize the guest experience
  • Professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work effectively in team settings
Additional Information Work Environment & Physical Demands
  • Ability to stand or be on your feet for extended periods; kneeling and bending may be required
  • Regularly work indoors with no adverse conditions
  • Occasionally lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs
