Hiring Range: $126,838 annually – $142,709 annually
Salary Range: $126,838 annually – $190,299 annually

In support of the City Manager’s Office, this position performs a variety of professional level duties and project management consistent with the organization’s values and mission statement. Reporting to the City Manager, this position plays a critical role in organizational development projects and community-wide initiatives. Acts as a lead on key projects between City Manager’s Office, City departments, and the community.
SupervisionSupervision Exercised and Received:
This position works under the direct supervision of the City Manager. This position is responsible for supervising the administrative staff for the City Manager’s Office.
- Organizational Development:
Executes leadership and supervision responsibilities through sound judgment, focusing on quality improvement, managing, and resolving conflict, fostering a culture of accountability, clearly defining responsibilities and expectations, setting goals, providing motivation and performance feedback, recognizing contributions, and encouraging training and development. - Project Management:
Prepares and develops plans for high level complex projects and programs requiring coordination and collaboration with internal and external contacts. Develops and manages various contracts to implement city projects and programs. Conducts high level policy analysis on a variety of topics. Oversees the city’s legislative policy agenda. - Community Engagement:
Establishes positive working relationships with community representatives, state/local agencies and associations, City management and staff, and the public. Represents the City in City Council meetings, commissions, boards, and professional meetings. - Customer Service:
Demonstrates a respectful attitude towards customers and coworkers, responds to resident requests, and provides effective services or solutions. - Partnerships and Liaison:
Pursues and maintains partnerships to meet community needs. Serves as liaison between community, staff, and City Council. Represents the city on multi-jurisdictional committees and negotiates agreements. - Budget Support:
Oversees the financial health of the City Manager’s Office, including budget and grant preparation, and monitors expenditures in coordination with administrative staff.
