Position: Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job

Step into a high‑impact role as a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery, anchored in the stunning town of Aspen, Colorado. Begin a multi‑week assignment starting 01/26/2026, where your clinical expertise guides families through the transformative journey of childbirth with unwavering safety, empathy, and professional leadership. This is more than a job—it's a chance to shape moments that families will treasure forever, while you grow within a dynamic perinatal team.

Aspen’s breathtaking mountain scenery, world‑class outdoor recreation, and rich cultural scene create a unique backdrop for focused patient care and restorative downtime. From sunrise ski runs to sunset hikes and intimate local gatherings, Colorado’s beauty reinforces the balance between excellence at work and renewal in life.

Colorado’s premier mountain setting offers a work environment that values collaboration, continuous learning, and patient‑centered care. In Aspen you’ll be part of a close‑knit medical community that emphasizes family‑centered obstetric care, multidisciplinary teamwork, and proactive communication with patients and families. You may also have the opportunity to work across multiple locations nationwide, expanding your clinical horizons, collaborating with diverse teams, and building a broad, transferable skill set that strengthens your professional trajectory.

Expect robust support systems designed to help you thrive—efficient onboarding, access to up‑to‑date protocols, easy access to specialists, and ongoing opportunities to pursue advanced certifications within the L&D sphere.

Role Specifics and Benefits
  • Core responsibilities: lead and participate in comprehensive obstetric care from admissions to postpartum, monitor fetal status and labor progression, administer medications and analgesia in conjunction with obstetric physicians, assist with delivery, support high‑risk obstetric cases alongside perinatal specialists, perform newborn assessments, provide lactation support and patient education, coordinate with anesthesia, nursing leadership, and the broader care team to ensure safety and timely interventions, document meticulously, and uphold infection control and quality improvement standards.

You’ll mentor less experienced staff, model best practices, and contribute to unit protocols that elevate patient outcomes.
  • Professional growth: leverage exposure to diverse obstetric scenarios to deepen clinical expertise, pursue targeted certifications (such as perinatal nursing, lactation consulting, or high‑risk obstetrics), and engage in mentorship programs that accelerate career advancement within the specialty.
  • Benefits: competitive weekly pay ranging from $3,265 to $3,355 with potential for performance‑based incentives, a sign‑on or relocation bonus where applicable, and housing assistance to ease transition to a mountain community. Extension opportunities are available, allowing you to extend your contract to deepen continuity of care and expand your skill set. You’ll also enjoy comprehensive travel support with 24/7 assistance as you move between assignments or return to home base, plus access to education stipends and professional development resources.
  • Support framework: a dedicated, round‑the‑clock support team that understands travel cycles and clinical demands, ensuring you’re never alone when navigating patient needs, patient families, or logistics on the road. A strong emphasis on teamwork, clear communication channels, and rapid escalation processes helps you focus on clinical excellence.

The organization is committed to empowering its healthcare professionals, fostering clear paths for career advancement, and cultivating a supportive, inclusive work environment. You’ll find a culture that values autonomy within a collaborative framework, recognizes achievements, invests in ongoing education, and prioritizes well‑being and resilience. Expect constructive feedback, structured mentorship, and opportunities to lead quality improvement initiatives that make a real difference in patient care and unit performance.
