Position SummaryOperates score clock and music for adult hockey games.
Supervision Exercised and ReceivedPosition works under the general supervision of the Ice Facilities Supervisor.
Essential Job Functions- Clock/Scoreboard Management
Accurately operates time clock and scoreboard. Keeps record of goals, assists, penalties, and shots on net. Acts as Off-Ice Official as described by USA Hockey rule book. - Music Management
Plays music during stoppages throughout the game. - City Organizational Values

- Ability to accurately operate score clock technology when in-game and at stoppages.
- Knowledge of the rules and regulations involved in hockey, and have the ability to skate proficiently.
- Ability to effectively interact and communicate with individuals and/or groups of people.
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing satisfactory customer service and taking necessary steps to assist customers with their needs.
- Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and strategies to promote safety operations relevant to the Recreation Department.
Licenses &
Certifications:
Must possess a valid Colorado Driver's License or be able to obtain one within 30 days of start date.
Familiarity with Hockey and has previous score clock operation experience.
NoteThis position requires a Criminal Background Check upon hire. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a Criminal Background Check.
Position Type and Work HoursHours varies depending on programming and game schedules. Evenings/Weekends:
Required depending on game schedules.
Indoors:
Work is performed in an ice arena. Outdoors/Off-Site:
Meetings, trainings, and site visits at a variety of city facilities and areas. Exposure to cold, heat, exhaust, fumes, etc.

Visual Acuity:
Ability to bring objects into focus. Balancing, Bending, Carrying, Crouching, Climbing, Eye/Hand/Foot Coordination, Gripping/Grasping, Handling, Hearing, Lifting & Carrying up to 50 lbs. unassisted, Kneeling, Pushing/Pulling, Reaching, Repetitive motions, Sitting, Standing, Stooping, Talking, Walking.
