As a Technical Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical condition of a select number of tugboats, ensuring they operate at peak performance. Acting as the primary point of contact for the (H)
WTKs on board, you will provide technical guidance and hands‑on support for necessary repairs, both remotely and on‑site.

Your role will involve planning and executing dockings, overseeing repairs, and managing maintenance schedules to maintain high operational standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for budgeting, technical documentation, and advising on technical enhancements while collaborating closely with the Technical Manager, Technical Buyer, and onboard crew.

Key Requirements:

MBO+ level qualification with a background in mechanical engineering.
A minimum of 5 years of experience as a 2nd Engineer, Chief Engineer, or in ship repairs, ideally within towing or merchant shipping.
Proficiency in modern electronics, control systems, and computers; knowledge of after‑treatment and hybrid systems is an advantage.
Experience in executing repairs and dockings in line with class, flag state, and regulatory requirements.
Strong problem‑solving skills, a hands‑on mentality, and the ability to work flexibly, including travel and work outside office hours.
