The Analyst III (Senior Analyst) position is part of the method development group in the LC‑MS/MS department within the bioanalytical laboratory. In this role you will focus on hands‑on method development and optimization at the bench, supporting the development, validation, and troubleshooting of LC‑MS based bioanalytical methods.
You will work closely with scientists and project teams to develop robust analytical methods for complex biological matrices while ensuring compliance with GxP and applicable regulatory expectations. This role combines strong technical lab skills with scientific insight and problem‑solving.
Responsibilities- Perform hands‑on LC‑MS method development and optimization at the bench, including sample preparation and instrument operation
- Support method validation activities, including troubleshooting in line with ICH M10 expectations
- Contribute to the scientific development, improvement, and robustness of analytical methods
- Investigate analytical issues and support resolution of technical challenges during development and validation phases
- Collaborate closely with Scientists and Project Managers, providing technical input and support during project execution
- Document experimental work, results, and conclusions in accordance with GxP requirements
- Perform peer review of data and support quality control processes as needed
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper use, calibration and documentation
- Stay up to date with developments in bioanalytical techniques and apply knowledge to improve methodologies
- Instrument management and troubleshooting (documentation, maintenance and calibration)
- Solving problems in the method development, validation or analysis process
- Preserving overview of method development assay's
- Keeps current and seeks to grow knowledge in the field through scientific journals, training, online study, etc.
- A laboratory‑focused education (Bachelor’s or higher in a scientific field preferred)
- Relevant experience in a bioanalytical laboratory environment, preferably within method development
- Hands‑on experience with LC‑MS techniques and sample preparation workflows
- Understanding of bioanalytical method development and validation principles
- Experience working in a regulated (GxP) environment
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to troubleshoot analytical challenges
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently at the bench and collaboratively within a team
- Good written and spoken English communication skills
