We are seeking a dependable and experienced Assistant Teacher who can provide classroom support wherever needed - going from classroom to classroom and help maintain smooth daily operations throughout the center.
Position SummaryThe Assistant Teacher – Floating Position supports classrooms across multiple age groups as needed, including infants, toddlers, and preschool children. This role requires flexibility, strong classroom awareness, and the ability to quickly adapt to different routines, teaching styles, and age‑appropriate expectations while maintaining consistency and quality care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide classroom support in infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms as needed
- Assist Lead and Assistant Teachers with daily activities, routines, and transitions
- Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging learning environment in all assigned classrooms
- Supervise children at all times to ensure safety
- Support daily care routines including meals, diapering/toileting, rest, and transitions
- Use positive guidance and age‑appropriate behavior support strategies
- Step in for classroom coverage during staff absences, breaks, or schedule changes
- Follow all state licensing regulations, health, and safety procedures
- Communicate professionally with teaching staff and leadership
- Support classroom organization, materials, and cleanliness
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in an Early Childhood Education setting
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Strong understanding of child development and classroom routines
- Ability to adapt quickly to different classrooms and teaching teams
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Reliable, flexible, and team‑oriented
- Ability to meet all state and center background clearance requirements
