General Comments:
- CT/Xray Tech - Critical Access Hospital must be able to image all kinds of cases. Specifically Trauma & Stroke.
- 15 - 20 Scans Per 12hr shift in partner with another CT tech on shift
- CT is a Philips Ingenuity 64 slice, xray is canon digital room at the hospital, two portable shimadzu digital xray machine
36hrs, 3x12s DAYS, 16 weeks, Friday - Sunday, SCHEDULE IS NON NEGOTIABLE, covering leave for internal staff
- Weekends scan scheduled outpatient but also must be available for ER cases
Position Description
The CAT/CT Scan Technologist produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as ordered by a physician. These cross-sectional images provide detailed information about soft tissues, blood vessels, and bones, which are essential for accurate diagnostics. The CAT/CT Scan Technologist obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns. The CAT/CT Technologist also performs a variety of specialized tasks involved in the performance of CT scans.
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of experience as a CAT/CT Technologist preferred.
- Appropriate valid state licensure in diagnostic imaging
- A.R.R.T. (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification, if required by state regulations or contract specifications
- Current CPR if applicable
- TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
- Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
