Base pay range$ / yr – $ / yr
Flight Nurse Responsibilities- Work with the Flight Paramedic to deliver advanced critical care to patients.
- Assume responsibility for all direct patient care in accordance with Life Flight Network guidelines and protocols.
- Perform clinical tasks such as chest tube insertion, surgical airway, endotracheal intubation, intra‑osseous insertion, and central line placement.
- Document patient care accurately and maintain written and verbal follow‑up with referring hospitals or agencies.
- Assist with equipment retrieval, cleaning, restocking, and inventory checks to keep the aircraft ready for service.
- Provide support for safe aircraft operation, enforce safety policies, and assist the pilot with navigation, take‑off, landing, and in‑flight procedures.
- Contribute to business development through public outreach, flight education, and positive community engagement.
- Compile statistical data or work on related projects as assigned by the Director of Clinical Operations.
- Minimum five years of ICU/ED/Trauma experience within the last ten years (flight experience may substitute).
- Current RN license appropriate to location.
- Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, PHTLS or BTLS, PALS, NRP, TPATC (completed before independent duties). - Must pass the CFRN exam within one year of hire and obtain certification within two years.
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) or Critical Care Nurse (CCRN) preferred until CFRN certification.
- Valid state driver’s license with at least three years of driving experience.
- Maintenance of airport badge (where applicable).
- Passport or entry to Canada may be required based on assignment.
- Compliant with weight limit: maximum 250 lb fully outfitted.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to work under stress.
- Availability for varied shifts covering fixed‑wing and/or ambulance call shifts.

Astoria, OR Salary: $73,000.00–$87,000.00 Full‑time employment.
