The Financial Planning and Reporting Analyst position is responsible for the financial reporting of the Company, to include production of internal and external financial reports for regulatory, board and shareholder benefit, maintenance of an adequate system of financial reporting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy of the bank's reported financial results.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The position of Financial Planning and Reporting Analyst is responsible for performing routine and intermediate duties related to planning and financial reporting for the Finance Department. Supports Controller and CFO in all financial functions with emphasis on planning, financial reporting, and taxes.

  • Processes and maintains annual budget and reforecasting projections; including collaborations with department managers and executives for strategic campaigns
  • Prepares the monthly financials, board presentations, and quarterly press releases
  • Loads monthly data and reconciles balances for financial planning and reporting software
  • Assists with actual-to-budget variance analyses
  • Assists with preparation of annual report and proxy statement
  • Assist with preparation of financial regulatory reports including FFIEC quarterly call report, FRY9SP, FRY6, FRY
    10 and Summary of Deposits
  • Conducts tax projections, monthly provision, deferred tax asset calculation, and assists with tax related accruals and payments
  • Works with outside tax preparers to gather documentation for estimated tax payments and annual tax returns and ensure accuracy
  • Assist with daily, monthly, and quarterly account reconciliation reviews
  • Assists in gathering annual audit related documents
  • Supports treasury functions; including cash management, investment activity, and liquidity projections
  • Provides full support to Finance Team

Compliance

  • Complies with all bank policies and procedures and all applicable government regulations including, but not limited to BSA, AML, and OFAC regulations, staying current and knowledgeable of all policies, procedures and regulations related to the job functions and completing all assigned training on time, requesting additional training as needed to be proficient in all job responsibilities; cooperating with internal and external auditors and bank examiners by providing full cooperation and timely delivery of requested documentation and information;

    and reporting concerns about compliance to the Compliance Officer to enable prompt remediation.
  • Complies with Bank policies and procedures relating to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), and Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) guidance. Report suspicious activity to the BSA Department through a Suspicious Incident Report (SIR).
  • Adheres to privacy and information security policies and ensure all sensitive internal and external customer information is properly secured and safeguarded. Use secure methods delivering client and/or confidential data by email.
