Radiologic Technologist identifies patient service requirements by establishing personal rapport with patients, family members and others. The technologist will ensure operability of radiology equipment and report problems to supervisor. Responsible for production and quality of radiographs by following established standards and procedures, observing radiographic results and making necessary adjustments while maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

The technologist will acquire images by properly preparing the patient for radiological procedures, positioning patients and manipulating equipment into specified positions. Follow ALARA principles to set exposure factors necessary to obtain quality images. Protect patients and employees by adhering to radiation safety, infection‑control policies and protocols and HIPAA compliance policies. Maintain professional and technical knowledge in compliance with ARRT continuing education standards.

  1 year as a staff or student technologist
• Preferred Experience:
  
  3 years as staff technologist

• Minimum Required
  
  Education:
  
  Successful Completion of JRCERT accredited education program
• Preferred Education:
  
  Associate or Bachelor’s in Radiologic Science

• Minimum Required Licenses:
  Kansas State Board of Healing Arts LRT.

  Certifications:
  
  ARRT (R) certification, BLS
