Coordinates the scheduling of various patient appointments throughout Occupational Health Services including sports medicine, occupational medicine, wellness, employee health and athletic training on multiple schedules including physicians, technicians, athletic trainers and nurses. Greets clients, answers phone, checks in and out patients, schedules patients, scans medical information into the EMR. The assistant will assist the technician, nurses, and providers in getting information scanned or entered into the respective EMR.
A cash drawer must be maintained and balanced on a daily basis for copayments. The position also monitors the Occupational Health Services email and phone system and distributes messages accordingly. The Assistant enters all charges, receives co-payments, invoices all clients, assists with end of the month billing in the Systoc EMR system. The coordinator may assist in performing breath alcohol testing and drug screens.
Is certified and performs breath alcohol testing under DOT and NON DOT standards. Coordinates the flow of the patients through the visit process, helping our patients to be moved through the clinic at an efficient rate. Maintains knowledge of the employers contracted with OHS. Assist in marketing and public relations with area employers. Interacts with the various departments of the hospital and external organizations that are associated with OHS.
Customer service with all patients and companies seen through Occupational Health Services is a top priority.
