Aspen View Public Schools, with a division office located in the town of Athabasca, is a rural school division providing diverse and cutting-edge programming to students in a number of communities. Whispering Hills Primary School, located in the Town of Athabasca, offers Great Beginnings and Kindergarten to Grade 3 programming in a dual-track environment, with both English and French Immersion options. Serving approximately 300 students, WHPS provides a safe, caring, welcoming, and respectful setting where students build strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, and social‑emotional learning.
The school emphasizes self-regulation and emotional well‑being through the Zones of Regulation and its Bucket Filling philosophy, helping students develop empathy, awareness, and positive relationships. As an APPLE School, WHPS promotes healthy living through daily wellness practices and nutritious food supports, encouraging students to learn and play actively both indoors and outdoors.
WHPS values family involvement and offers many opportunities for parents and caregivers to engage in school life, contributing to a supportive learning community where young learners are encouraged to think independently, develop healthy habits, and participate fully in classroom and school activities.
Aspen View Public Schools is currently seeking a principal for Whispering Hills Primary School. As an instructional leader in our Division, you will be part of our Administrative Association, contributing to the success of the school and of the Division. This position reports directly to the Superintendent of Schools.

This position will commence on August 26, 2026, the start of the School Year. Applications may be submitted by May 14, 2026.
