Mechanical Technician

Join TC Energy as a multiskilled Mechanical Technician in Athabasca, AB, and operate natural gas generator engines effectively. Your troubleshooting and maintenance skills will be key in ensuring operational reliability.

The Aurora Central team wants a team-oriented Technician proficient in maintaining and operating generator engines. This role involves planning and coordinating mechanical maintenance and managing vendors on-site. You will report to the Athabasca office and engage in various maintenance activities, contributing to the continuous improvement of operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and troubleshoot natural gas generator engines

• Plan and perform preventative and corrective maintenance

• Complete daily work orders and data entry

• Manage contractors and vendors during maintenance tasks

• Participate in safety meetings and discussions

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Waukesha Engine or CAT Service Technician certification

• Journeyperson status preferred

• Experience with advanced mechanical diagnostics

• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
