About Community Autism Services

At Community Autism Services (CAS), a division of The Stepping Stones Group, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to thrive in their school and community. Our school‑based teams partner directly with districts to bring evidence‑based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) into classrooms - and that mission starts with the BTs who show up for students every single day.

Our team is made up of clinicians and leaders who understand what it actually takes to support students with unique and complex needs. Every CAS employee is committed to helping students thrive in their own way, and we build our teams - and our support systems - around that goal.

What You’ll Do

As a BT with CAS in Athens, you’ll work directly with students under the guidance of your supervising BCBA and ABA Instructor:

  • Implement individualized behavior and skill‑acquisition programming as designed by the clinical team
  • Provide consistent 1:1 support across classroom routines, including academics, transitions, and social groups
  • Support students with personal care needs, including toileting and hygiene routines, with dignity and consistency
  • Respond calmly and safely to behavioral needs, including elopement risk and physical aggression, using trained de‑escalation and safety protocols
  • Support communication for students with limited verbal language, including use of AAC devices or other communication systems as directed
  • Collect accurate data and complete documentation to track student progress
  • Build real relationships with teachers, school staff, and the clinical team through clear, consistent communication
  • Follow all school district and CAS safety protocols at all times
What You’ll Bring
  • Prior experience working with individuals with autism or related developmental disabilities required
  • Experience supporting students with elopement risk, physical aggression, or limited communication strongly preferred
  • Comfortable and experienced providing personal care support, including toileting assistance
  • RBT certification preferred; willingness to obtain certification with CAS support considered
  • Associate's Degree or a completed 48 college credits required:
    Bachelor's degree is a plus!
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
  • A calm, patient, and genuinely positive approach, even in high‑need moments
Good to Know

This role is hands‑on and active - you’ll be on your feet, moving through classrooms, hallways, and common areas, and getting down to a student’s level for floor activities or adaptive seating. Expect to lift, carry, or move materials up to 25 pounds, and to physically support students during transitions, personal care routines, or safety interventions as trained. You’ll need the visual and auditory attention to keep students safe and engaged throughout the day, and you’ll follow district and company safety protocols at all times.

Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities.
