Quarry Scale Master

The Quarry Scale Master is responsible for operating the truck scale to accurately weigh inbound and outbound trucks, ensuring all loads are recorded properly for inventory, billing, and compliance purposes. The role includes data entry, communication with drivers and plant personnel, and maintaining accurate documentation of daily operations.

• Operate and monitor truck scale to weigh incoming and outgoing trucks.
• Record accurate weight and load data using scale management software.
• Verify proper documentation (e.g., tickets, delivery receipts) for each load.
• Communicate effectively with truck drivers, dispatchers, and plant staff.
• Maintain organized records for all scale transactions and daily reports.
• Inspect scale equipment daily to ensure accuracy and report any issues.
• Assist with inventory control and reporting as needed.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures at the quarry site.
• Perform general administrative tasks, such as answering phones and filing.

• Ability to sit for extended periods.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions.
• Occasional lifting (up to 25 lbs).
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in a scale house, quarry, construction, or similar environment preferred.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
• Knowledge of scale software systems is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication and customer service abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.
