Store Sales Associate

Overview

Citi Trends is looking for a dedicated Store Sales Associate to join our team at one of the largest chains in the value-priced urban apparel industry. We're growing, so if you've ever wanted a chance to lead the way, this is it.

• Processing freight
• Assisting with price changes/markdowns
• Balancing the register according to company policy
• Calling out prices for customers when ringing transactions
• Bags merchandise efficiently at checkout
• Handling cash, checks and credit cards according to company policy
• Obtaining management approval for returns, voids and checks as needed
• Maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned
• Providing proper customer service (greeting customers, abiding by fitting room policies, ringing customers in promptly, thanking customers and inviting them to return)
• Following all safety procedures
• Maintaining a professional, neat appearance, including wearing a name tag
• Assisting management with merchandising on the sales floor according to stock level
• Assisting management with tasks requested per company policy
• Explaining exchange/refund policies to customers after transactions
• Supporting Loss Prevention procedures, including preventing shoplifting and cash losses, reporting incidents, and following current operational policies

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages)
