Store Driver

Delivery Driver – 119 Highway 31 S., Athens, AL

This role involves delivering automotive parts to professional customers while maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring safe, efficient delivery operations.

• Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers
• Pick up returns and cores
• Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs
• Daily collection of credit accounts
• Build and maintain relationships with Main Street and National Pro customers while providing the CPP with insights learned while making deliveries
• Assist in upselling and cross‑selling products to increase average transaction value
• Maintain store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting and parking lot
• General stocking including truck stocking, back stock and cycle counts
• Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales
• Engage with walk‑in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services
• Other duties as assigned

• Safe driving and navigation ability
• Ability to use delivery board system
• Friendly and persuasive communication
• Ability to locate and stock parts; safety knowledge and skills
• Operating inventory systems (Back stock) and store equipment
• Sales aptitude and customer service orientation
• Ability to identify customer needs and recommend solutions

• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus); communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers and leadership
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs and procedure manuals
• Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; ability to work an assortment of days, evenings and weekends as needed
• Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products
• Willing to learn about new products and sales techniques

• Automotive parts experience is preferred

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will predominantly be walking or standing. The employee is required to talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

The work environment is primarily indoors but may occasionally involve outside work exposed to weather, various temperatures while installing batteries and wiper blades, and exposure to moving mechanical parts, high or precarious places, toxic or caustic chemicals, electrical shock, explosives, and vibration. The noise level is usually moderate.
