Carpenter, Trades ​/ Skilled Labor

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical plans
• Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials with precision
• Build frameworks, including walls, floors, doors, windows, staircases, and partitions
• Install cabinets, siding, drywall, insulation, and other building components
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
• Inspect and repair damaged frameworks or other structures
• Ensure work complies with building codes and safety regulations
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Maintain good relationships with Technicians, Foreman, Superintendents, Inspectors, Developers, and other co-workers at all times
• Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work tasks
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Represent and promote Grayson Carter and Son in a professional and honest manner

• Ability to communicate and convey information effectively
• Must be physically able to stand, walk, sit, crouch, kneel, climb, and periodically lift 75 pounds
• Knowledge of OSHA Standards
• Ability to obtain Arsenal Badge preferred, but not required
• Ability to obtain FBI Badge preferred, but not required
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or apprenticeship preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in carpentry or a related field
• Proficiency with carpentry tools, materials, and construction techniques
• Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on all job sites as required
• Work weekends and overtime as needed
• Committed to attending work each day
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
