Job Responsibilities
- Gather and organize truck request each day from foremen, superintendents, and managers
- Communicate and secure lease trucks to complete hauling schedule daily
- Create daily trucking schedule that includes truck numbers, drivers, lease truck information, etc.
- Ensure compliance with DOT requirements, as well as all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, statutes, and ordinances
- File maintenance records, annual inspections, pre-trip inspections, etc. as required by law
- Review invoices and daily tickets for accuracy prior to payment (dirt, rock, etc.)
- Manage and review all GPS software alerts and report findings to appropriate managers
- Run weekly reports for trucks including idle time, harsh events, driving scores, etc.
- Audit and review time cards to confirm correct start times based on daily schedule
- Complete and follow up New Hire Driver Checklists for employee driver files
- Obtain DOT Permits (Fuel and/or Trip) as needed
- Work with other departments to meet company wide initiatives
- Maintain a high level of quality work at all times
- Maintain good relationships with Technicians, Foreman, Superintendents, Inspectors, Developers, and other co-workers at all times
- Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work tasks
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Represent and promote Grayson Carter and Son in a professional and honest manner
- Knowledge of different materials to be hauled such as dirt, rock, asphalt, sand, etc.
- Must be physically able to stand, walk, sit, crouch, kneel, climb, and periodically lift 75 pounds
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office, Dispatch Software, and GPS Tracking Software
- Experience with Fast Weight and Samsara preferred
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Knowledge of DOT Rules and Regulations
- Knowledge of OSHA Standards
- Ability to obtain Arsenal and FBI Badge
- Commercial Driver’s License required
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on all job sites as required
- Able to pass pre-employment drug screen
