Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent
Responsibilities- Maintain office hours to assist County Extension Coordinator, county staff, and clientele by conducting day-to-day operations, including maintaining appropriate records for fiscal reporting.
- Prepare various accounting forms and perform basic accounting responsibilities in reconciling local Extension budgets and keeping financial records current within the monthly cycle.
- Maintain office filing system and coordinate office tasks with other county staff as necessary.
- Assist County Extension Coordinator with personnel procedures, monthly leave reports, performance reviews, and related reports; support staff meeting minutes and incident/workers’ compensation reports as needed.
- Complete County Information reports to District Office annually and coordinate Memorandums of Understanding as needed.
- Budget management to ensure equipment, supplies, travel, and program supports stay within limits; seek additional resources as needed.
- Ensure compliance with UGA Cooperative Extension EO regulations; promote inclusive outreach.
- Demonstrate involvement in the local community and networking with community leaders.
- Maintain office inventory and handle emails/mail; assist clientele with Extension resources and services; manage postage and coordinate conference calls with county/state staff.
- Strong business grammar and punctuation; proficient with office procedures and current software
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Quick Books and data management
- Professional demeanor and ability to work with diverse stakeholders
- Ability to establish effective working relationships across county, district, and state staff
- Some medium lifting; seated work for long periods
- Driving as needed to perform job duties
