AboutThe College/Unit/Department
Part of the Division of Student Affairs, University Housing comprises nearly 2.8 million square feet of facilities and serves more than 9,000 students. The department employs 220 full-time staff, 21 graduate assistants, and 565 undergraduate student workers. As a self-supporting auxiliary, University Housing operates a $59 million budget from housing fees and other non-state sources.
Duties/Responsibilities- Provide exemplary customer service to residents, guests, visitors, faculty and staff at community desks and office spaces.
- Serve as a resource for accurate information concerning Housing and university operations.
- Support the community office staff with administrative responsibilities.
- Assist in opening, closing, and transition of residence halls, including early arrival, late departures, breaks, and finals week.
- Follow university and department policies and procedures; address incidents and potential policy violations.
- Assist staff during crises or emergencies while maintaining confidentiality.
- Participate in departmental and community training; attend staff and one-on-one meetings with supervisors.
- Adhere to desk policies and procedures including key management and access control.
- Sort, record, distribute, and forward mail and packages per USPS regulations and community procedures.
- Perform other duties consistent with the position as assigned.

This student position is generally the initial contact for customer service to residents and guests; assists the community administrative staff and manages mail, packages, and keys per Housing policies. - Physical Demands:
