Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent and 2 years of professional experience.
Preferred Qualifications- Masters Degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Social Work, or related field.
- Experience managing electronic case management or database systems (e.g., Advocate Symplicity, or similar platforms).
The Assistant Director of Student Care and Outreach serves as the primary case manager for the university’s Behavioral Assessment and Response Council (BARC), a group of administrators that assesses and determines the appropriate response to students who exhibit threatening behavior to self and/or others. The Assistant Director plays an integral role in the institution’s Connect and Complete Initiative and oversees a portion of the general case management functions of SCO.
The Assistant Director reports to the Director of Student Care and Outreach and supervises two case managers. The Assistant Director also works closely with the Associate Dean of Students in his role as the Chair of BARC.
