Assistant or Associate Professor of CVI

Position Summary

The Center for Vaccines and Immunology in the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Georgia seeks an outstanding researcher in immunology for a tenure‑track faculty position. Candidates should have a track record of independent research with interests focused on adaptive immunology, infection and disease models, and vaccine or therapeutic development.

• Establish and oversee an independent, extramurally funded research program.
• Engage in collaborative research activities within the Center and across the College and University.
• Teach undergraduate, graduate, and professional courses and mentor students.
• Participate in interdisciplinary and collegial environments with multiple research centers.

• Ph.D. in immunology, microbiology, infectious diseases, molecular biology, vaccines, or related.
• Postdoctoral training with defined expertise in the field.
• Record of extramural funding through federal, philanthropic, and industry sources.
• Experience in publishing peer‑reviewed research in top‑tier journals.
• Excellent teaching record and graduate student mentoring ability.
