The Fin Tech & AI Certificate Program Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for students, faculty, and industry partners involved in both the Fin Tech Certificate and AI Certificate Program. This role provides academic advising to current and prospective students, guiding them through program requirements, course prerequisites, and application procedures. The coordinator is responsible for communicating application outcomes and program approvals, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with reporting requirements from UGA and USG.
Additionally, the coordinator facilitates 12-15 corporate-sponsored student projects each semester, supporting collaboration between students, faculty, and industry partners. The position also manages major annual events such as the Truist Immersive Learning experience and the USG Fin Tech Academy Academic Summit, overseeing all aspects of event planning and execution. A key responsibility includes assisting more than 200 active students in securing required fintech internships prior to program completion by developing and maintaining relationships with corporate partners to expand internship opportunities.
- Academic Advising: Work with current and intended Fin Tech certificate students to assure they understand the program architecture, course prerequisites, Final date to receive applicationss, internship approval process, and types of career opportunities.
- Experiential Learning Project Coordination (25%): Help instructors build the portfolio of experiential learning projects delivered in BUSN 3700, orient new business partners, administer NDAs and IP waivers, collect fees associated with industry participation, and conduct semester‑end QA to ensure partner satisfaction.
- Fin Tech Student Internship Coordination (15%): Assist students with securing internships that meet the academic requirements, aid with the application and approval process, and ensure students understand the three deliverables required for credit.
