The Archway Partnership is nationally recognized for excellence in community engagement, winning the Association of Public and Land Grant Universities’ highest award for public service in 2022. Its innovative model connects Georgia communities to UGA resources to address critical locally identified needs, focusing on medical and veterinary care access, chronic disease prevention, mental health, obesity, Alzheimer’s and dementia, and veterinary care.
The Archway Professional serves as the point of contact in Georgia communities and represents the entire University.
The University of Georgia seeks a qualified candidate to serve as a One Health Archway Professional. One Health is the intersection of well‑being and health outcomes for people, animals, and the environment. This public service and outreach faculty member will act as a liaison between the Archway Partnership, other health and science colleges, schools, departments, institutes, centers, units, and Georgia communities.
The role involves convening partners to facilitate critical health and wellness conversations, supporting internship and residency development, engaging with K‑12 STEM education, exploring bridge programs for medical and veterinary professionals, and conducting community‑engaged research. The position carries a rank in the public service faculty career ladder and requires travel across Georgia during the day, evening, and weekends as needed.
A minimum of a master’s degree in public health, healthcare management, public administration, public policy, higher education, urban/regional planning, community development, business, non‑profit management, or a related field.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, and/or Certification- Five years’ experience in healthcare, public health, community development, economic development, public administration, planning, non‑profit, community organizing, leadership development, or regional planning.
- Background in group facilitation, consensus building, focus groups, public engagement, and community organizing.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proven professional who is responsive, service oriented, efficient, and timely with a desire to work as a member of a team sharing common goals and mission.
- Excellent writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills; strong attention to detail, including the ability to present scientific, technical, and programmatic information to varied audiences.
