The Georgia College Advising Corps (GCAC) works in underserved high schools throughout Georgia to increase the nubmer of low-income, first-generation, and underrepresented students who attend and complete higher education. We help students find their way to college by placing well-trained, recent college graduates in high schools to work one-on-one with students as they navigate the complex college admissions process, including researching college options, completing applications, and applying for financial aid.

Advisers work regular full-time hours during the school year, following the high school/site supervisor's schedule. Advisers will begin service in their assigned schools upon hire and work until May 31. 2026.

Duties/Responsibilities
Duties/ResponsibilitiesWork with high school seniors, providing them with information on the college admissions process, financing college, registering for and taking ACT/SAT exams, and completing college applications

Percentage of time 20 Duties/ResponsibilitiesComplete all GCAC reports and projects as assigned. Track, using the College Advising Corps Student GRACE web-based system, all student interactions

supervisor is the Program Director of the Georgia College Advising Corps
Host college fairs and information sessions regarding college admission and financial aid.
