Position Summary Ib Under the direction of the Communications Manager at the State Botanic Garden of Georgia, the assistant will be responsible for conducting audio interviews for a project cataloging the garden’s history. The role requires strong interviewing and audio recording skills, excellent communication, attention to detail, and problem‑solving abilities. Flexibility for travel and the ability to work weekends and nights are essential.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct interviews using audio equipment
  • Prepare bleach and schedule interviews
  • Transcribe interviews
  • Review and organize historical photo collection
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification:

  • Journalism majors with an interest or experience in oral history and interviewing
  • Museum studies majors with experience conducting interviews
  • Strong background in interviewing and audio recording
  • Excellent communication and detail orientation
  • Problem‑solving skills
  • Flexibility to travel and work weekends or nights
