Position Summary

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with fermentation processes: Set-up, media preparation, monitoring, recovery, and purification of biopolymers. Ensure quality control through cleaning and sterilization.
  • Assist with bacterial synthesis: Culture, molecular and biochemical characterization, and manipulation of bacterial strains. Isolate and characterize novel strains from field settings.
  • Order and maintain supplies: Manage laboratory inventory for fermentation and bacterial synthesis activities.
