Job Description
Speech Language Pathologist, PRN - Lavonia, GA at Trinity Health. Evaluates and treats patients referred by a licensed physician in accordance with the State of Georgia Practice Act. Uses a wide variety of therapeutic techniques for rehabilitation of speech-language, oral motor, and hearing disorders. Performs specialized evaluations for dysphagia. Complies with hospital policies and supports the mission and values of the hospital.

Position Requirements- Licensure/Certification/Registration:
The Speech Language Pathologist must be duly licensed by the Georgia State Board and hold a Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech‑Language & Hearing Association. BLS required. - Education:
Must hold a Master’s degree from an ASHA‑accredited program and be licensed in Georgia. Must also hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence. - Experience:
Minimum broad experience in a variety of clinical settings through an ASHA accredited clinical internship program. - Special
Qualifications:
Comprehensive knowledge of Speech Therapy practices, procedures, and clinical skills. Knowledge of required documentation and billing that satisfies Georgia State practice act, JCAHO requirements, and meets the requirements of Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurers; ability to plan, organize, and coordinate Speech Therapy treatments with other therapy providers (OTR, PT); ability to work collaboratively with nurses, physicians, and hospital personnel; conflict resolution skills;
data analysis and interpretive skills; excellent customer service; willingness to participate in clinical quality measurement and performance improvement programs and compliance with St. Mary's Health Care System policies.
