Position Summary

This incumbent will generate, maintain, differentiate and characterize animal-derived primary stem cells to develop organoid cultures. Additional responsibilities will involve culture-dependent or culture-independent microbiology and molecular microbiology on biologic tissues and establish protocols for genetic modification and perturbation of cellular pathways of organoids to understand the effect such modifications have on organoid growth, differentiation, survival, and inflammatory function. In addition, this person would maintain records, maintain equipment in proper working order, maintain inventory, order supplies, and ensure overall lab organization and safety compliance.
