Beverage Operations Manager
Position summary:
The Beverage Operations Manager is responsible for comprehensive oversight of all beverage services at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education & Hotel, providing strategic and operational leadership for a team of baristas, bartenders, and banquet bar personnel.
- Manage all Beverage Staff
- Supervise full‑time and temporary beverage staff.
- Ensure positive employee relations and resolve conflicts.
- Schedule staff and maintain time‑clock procedures.
- Recruit, train, and review training compliance.
- Oversee Service Standards
- Implement and enforce front‑of‑house beverage standards.
- Lead cocktail training to ensure consistency and quality.
- Engage guests, resolve service issues, and drive customer satisfaction.
- Develop sales and engagement strategies.
- Beverage Inventory Management
- Order, store, and track inventory levels.
- Coordinate with vendors for efficient ordering.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and legal standards.
- Provide Beverage Operations Financial Oversight
- Adhere to budgets and manage food & beverage costs.
- Analyze sales and profitability for informed decisions.
- Other duties as assigned to support the Outlets General Manager and Director of Food & Beverage.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Deep knowledge of coffee, tea, spirits, wine, beer, and cocktails.
- Understanding of food safety, alcohol service laws, and sanitation standards.
- Strong inventory management and cost‑control skills.
- Integrity, accountability, service orientation, effective communication, commitment to learning, sound judgment, and leadership experience.
- Stand for long periods.
- Lift, pull, or push up to 30 lbs.
- Capable of bending, squatting, kneeling, and manual handling.
- Driving may be required.
Salary: $45,000 – $50,000 per annum, based on experience. The position offers a 40‑hour work week with scheduled evenings and weekends.
