- Strategic Recruitment & Talent Acquisition:
Lead university-wide recruitment, oversee strategy, processes, and systems. (30%) - Workforce Planning and Organizational Design:
Lead development and implementation of strategic organizational design initiatives, policies, and programs. (25%) - Employee Relations & Workforce Engagement:
Provide leadership for employee relations and workforce engagement, including investigations and corrective action. (20%) - Leadership & Strategic Planning:
Serve as a member of the UHR leadership team, provide performance management and coaching. (15%) - Process Improvement & Operational Excellence:
Drive operational excellence through data‑driven process improvement and system optimization. (10%)
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 12 years of professional experience, including 3 years in a leadership role.
- Master’s degree preferred.
- 7+ years in higher education human resources.
- Progressive experience in talent management, recruitment, and workforce engagement.
- 2+ years of supervisory experience leading multi‑functional HR teams.
- Experience in recruitment, hiring, and employee relations within a large, complex organization.
- HR certification such as SHRM‑CP, SHRM‑SCP, HRCI‑PHR, or HRCI‑SPHR.
- Develop and execute effective recruiting strategies.
- Strong background in higher education recruiting and talent acquisition.
- Knowledge of employee relations and employment policy, including investigations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and data‑driven decision making.
- Leadership and coaching experience.
- Experience with HR systems and processes.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Work in a standard office environment and operate electronic equipment.
- Use electronic mail, telephone, face‑to‑face discussions, and paper‑form correspondence.
