Overview
This position will use their skillset to operate machinery used in the production of transformers while considering the values and goals of Power Partners.

Responsibilities
Understand and carry out detailed written and verbal instructions regarding the operation of various equipment and the production of parts. Ensure safe start-up, operation, tool changes, and shut-down of equipment. Repeatedly lift/move material that is 50+ lbs. with or without assistance from lifting devices. Handle metal parts/material and use hand/power tools. Ensure parts conform to standards. Follow all safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Communicate and understand written and verbal instructions;
• Use iPad or other electronic communication devices;
• Use organizational skills and attention to detail;
• Perform basic math operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in thousandths and up to 1/16th of an inch;
• Demonstrate proper lifting techniques;
• Handle objects, tools, and materials by grasping, reaching, and handling;
• Use measuring devices such as rulers, calipers, and micrometers;
• Operate hand & power tools such as air ratchets, wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, and grinders;
• Operate overhead hoists and lift assist equipment;
• Lift, push, or pull 50+ lbs.;
• Stand and walk frequently;
• Occasionally sit, stoop, reach, or kneel;
• Have 20/40 vision with or without corrective lenses, including normal peripheral vision (at least 70%), depth perception, and focus adjustment;
• Comply with all safety policies and procedures, including PPE requirements such as safety-toed shoes, safety glasses, cut-resistant gloves, and hearing protection.
