Our Manufacturing Machine Operator supports Mativ’s Filtration Advanced Materials Business. This individual will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation on machine lines including set up, start up and effective use of line equipment, including auxiliary equipment, tooling changes, monitoring and testing, and production reporting.

The shift hours are 7:45pm until 8:00am (night shift), but will train during day hours for the first few weeks. Mandatory overtime may be required at times.

Hourly Pay: $20.70

Responsibilities
  • Set up: read and understand schedule, BOM, SOC. Perform all functions of the set up including selecting proper tooling, installing tooling, and ensuring correct resin.
  • Start up: position all controls to SOC, activate extruder and miscellaneous drives, test initial product, make necessary adjustments and verify product is in spec, package product according to packaging instructions.
  • Troubleshoot process; perform QC tests per SOC and validate that process is in control; store finished product per instructions; correctly enter data in the data collection system.
  • Tooling: identify tooling damage and wear, clean and return all used tooling to stock.
  • Safety: follow accident reporting procedures, perform necessary housekeeping duties, comply with all OSHA and company safety requirements, locate MSDS, first aid supplies, fire extinguishers, and exits.
Qualifications
  • Preferred: forklift qualified; understand the data collection system; mechanical background; understand metric and English measuring systems and convert between them; proficient in the use of calipers, micrometers, and rulers; basic computer skills; basic mathematical skills.
Position Demands

Conditions:

manufacturing environment where air temperatures can range from cold to hot and the atmosphere may contain dust, fumes, and odors. Employees must wear PPE including: safety shoes (steel or composite toe), safety glasses, protective gloves, hearing protection, and any other PPE required for specific tasks.

Physical demands: lift a minimum of 75 pounds; work 12‑hour shifts; perform repetitive tasks; routinely stand, sit, walk, and talk; reach, climb, bend, kneel, crouch, twist, and balance, sometimes in awkward or tight spaces; maintain good close vision, depth perception, and focus.

Meet Mativ certification requirements to operate PIV’s (if applicable).
