About The PositionThis hands‑on role involves applying paint coating to transformers and components and loading/unloading parts on the paint line at Power Partners, a division of ERMCO. It requires precision, physical stamina, a strong commitment to safety and quality, and will contribute directly to meeting rigorous standards.
Responsibilities- Understand and carry out written or verbal instructions for coating transformer components and for loading and unloading parts on the paint line.
- Apply safe lifting techniques and operate lifting equipment and paint line equipment, including hand and power tools.
- Lift and move material that weighs 50+ lbs. onto or off the rail system and use lifting devices as needed.
- Verify that all painted components meet established quality standards.
- Sort and stack painted transformer components on racks, carts, or pallets for assembly.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- High School Diploma required.
- Understand and follow spoken and written instructions.
- Use electronic devices such as iPads or computers.
- Stay organized and pay close attention to details.
- Perform basic math to the thousandths.
- Lift safely using proper techniques, handling tools and materials.
- Measure paint thickness with tools such as mil readers.
- Use hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, tube cutters, sanders, grinders).
- Operate lifting equipment like overhead hoists.
- Lift over 50 lbs., push or pull over 100 lbs.
- Stand, walk, sit, bend, reach, or kneel as required.
- Have 20/40 vision (or better, with or without glasses or contacts).
- Follow all safety rules and department guidelines.
- Wear required safety gear: steel‑toed shoes, safety glasses, cut‑resistant gloves, and hearing protection.
- Three years of consistent work history.
- One year of manufacturing experience.
