This position will use their skillset to wind the coils used in distribution transformers while considering the values and goals of Power Partners.

• Understand and carry out detailed written and verbal instructions with regards to the operation of winding coils.
• Ensure safe and proper start-up, operation, and shut-down of equipment.
• Repeatedly lift/move material that is 50+ lbs. with or without assistance from lifting devices.
• Handle material, use hand/power tools.
• Ensure conformity of coils to standards.
• Follow all safety polices and procedures.

• Follow, communicate, and understand written and verbal instructions.
• Use an iPad or other electronic communication device.
• Use of organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers and fractions.
• Demonstrate proper lifting techniques.
• Grasp, reach, and handle objects, tools, and materials.
• Use measuring devices such as tape measures and micrometers.
• Use hand/power tools such as Allen wrenches, electric shears, soldering torches, and hammers.
• Operate overhead hoists and lift assist equipment.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs. and push/pull 75+ lbs.
• Frequent standing and walking is necessary and operation of foot controls.
• Occasional sitting, stooping, reaching, or kneeling.
• 20/40 vision is required with or without the use of corrective glasses and/or contact lens, as well as normal peripheral vision no less than 70, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Must comply with all plant safety policies and procedures and any special department safety rules.
• Must be able to wear all required PPE including, but not limited to: safety toed shoes, safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.
