Job Description:

Clubhouse Director

Schedule:

  • 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • 1-hour lunch break (must be taken before 1:00 PM)
  • Two 15-minute breaks at employee discretion

Full-Time, On-Site

Position Summary

The Clubhouse Director is responsible for overseeing all daily operations of their assigned Boys & Girls Clubs of Athens site. This includes supervising program staff and volunteers, ensuring high-quality programming, overseeing facility operations, maintaining youth safety, ensuring compliance with organizational standards, and fostering a positive Club culture. The Clubhouse Director ensures meaningful and mission-driven experiences for all youth in alignment with Boys & Girls Clubs of America guidelines.

Club Operations & Safety

  • Oversee the opening and closing of the Club daily.
  • Ensure full supervision, safety, and organization of all members, staff, and program areas.
  • Enforce strict access control—no unauthorized individuals may access any part of the building, especially during programming hours.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and well-prepared facility.
  • Perform janitorial tasks as needed, including light cleaning, trash removal, disinfecting surfaces, restroom upkeep, and resetting rooms.
  • Uphold all emergency procedures, safety standards, and operational protocols.
  • Supervise and support Youth Development Professionals (YDPs), teachers, volunteers, and program partners.
  • Ensure all staff and volunteers complete background checks and required documentation before participating in any Club activities.
  • Assign schedules, supervise performance, and support ongoing professional development.
  • Maintain a positive, team-oriented environment aligned with organizational mission and values.

Programming & Compliance

  • Create, implement, and maintain program schedules for all age groups and learning spaces.
  • Ensure compliance with Boys & Girls Clubs of America program standards, priority outcomes, and mission.
  • Support and staff Saturday programming as required.
  • Collaborate with fellow Clubhouse Directors to maintain consistency and share best practices.

Data, Metrics & Reporting

  • Complete and submit required reports, surveys, metrics, and program measures accurately and on time.
  • Utilize My Club Hub /Salesforce for membership management, attendance tracking, and program reporting.
  • Ensure all registered members are entered properly and scanned in and out daily.
  • Maintain strict accuracy, confidentiality, and timeliness of all data.

Communication & Technology

  • Use Microsoft Office Suite—Outlook, Excel, Teams—for communication, documentation, and scheduling.
  • Communicate professionally with families, youth, staff, partners, and leadership.
  • Maintain strong internal relationships and uphold the organization’s standards of professionalism.

Qualifications & Competencies

  • Strong commitment to serving youth and furthering the Boys & Girls Clubs mission.
  • Effective leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with other Clubhouse Directors and cross-site staff.
  • Flexible, dependable, and adaptable to fast-paced youth development environments.
  • Experience in youth programming, nonprofit leadership, or team management preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and member tracking systems (Salesforce/My Club Hub ).
  • Must successfully pass all required background checks and training.

Additional Requirements

  • Flexibility to work Saturdays and occasional evenings as needed.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and resolve issues promptly.
  • Strong commitment to professionalism, integrity, and excellence.
